EMMENTAL
Emmental is a Swiss cheese, that has also been produced in France since the medieval times. It was made with milk from the summer pastures in the Alps in 1 000-liter copper tanks.
The Emmental President is made in Bretagne. It is a pressed cooked cheese and is famous for its small and regular holes that appear as it matures in warm or temperate caves. It is a naturally lactose free cheese made with pasteurized milk using traditional production methods.
Food pairing
Perfect for hot cooking. Works well grated in gratins and pasta bake. Can also be served on a cheeseboard.
Drink pairing
Burgundy Pinot Noir or Chardonnay.
